I would like to know if in game day and night have any affect on gameplay values, like THAC0?

None at all. The only difference is that infravision comes in handy at night.

Your mom plays also? great! :) I hope she didn't tell you to be home before dark..... There is some more difference bewteen night and day.... Some shops are only open at day and not at night... and when you have a thief... nigth is perfect to enter some houses and stealing money...

My mum/mom watched me play Final Fantasy 7 once, thats about as close as shes been to any kind of RPG.

no we have multiple computers. when She first started playing I felt like I was playing through a very bad voice activated controll system but I quit helping and she started lerning.

To my knowlage day vs. night doesnt effect stealth in BG1 it does in bg2 but thats not where we are so...

Stealth in BG seems always possible... light/dark/shadows doesn't affect that I think. In BG2 it indeed does.

So.. have you already Multiplayed with your mom? :)

Night comes in handy for thieves...
Its true, you can hide in shadows during daylight as well... but not nearly as well as in the cloaks of the dark.

(that is, with a stealth value of 50%, not 120%, in wich case it doesn't matter anymore : ) )
