I'm having some problems with this romance. I just did the twisted rune (took me 9 tries to get everyone to survive) and I picked up "Isea's Documents" and went to the Gov. District to give them to Brega but I didn't get the option to do so. If anyone can give me an idea of what's wrong I'd appreciate it. I tried the Nalia Romance Forums, but I can't seem to open them... I've only got the Nalia Romance installed with it's patch. I'm currently on Chapter 2.

You're corrcet in taking the documents to Brega. The current Nalia romance, unfortunately, is pretty buggy, so it may just be a problem with the mod. Has Nalia already been kidnapped and returned?

Yes, she was taken by Isea, she was the one who suggested going to the guarded compound and from there I went to the rune.

As Cam has said, the Nalia romance 'is' buggy as hell. You might wanna try re-installing the mod and trying again, however, dont hold up much hope of it working :( only thing you can do if that dont work is see if another patch is released later.

Arnel, the creator of the mod, has stopped updating it as far as I know.

JCompton, the guy who wrote Kelsey, is currently working on a new Nalia romance over at FWS.

Well poo... the only reason I even bothered starting BG again was because I wanted to check out the Nalia Romance. *Sigh*, I guess I'll go on anyway... I'll probably edit Aerie's romance to active again...

Hi, I'm just wondering abt the Nalia romance; has anyone finished the whole thing be4? I must have been doing something wrong since the romance variable in shadowkeeper keeps changing to 3. That happens after I went to the guarded compund and killed the pple there( when i came, i chose opt 4/5, and they didnt mention anything else abt isea).

I finished the romance part of ths mod before, but it ended up breaking all of the quests at the keep.

I'm currently working on the original Nalia romance. I've done the Twisted Rune, Guarded Compound, etc. I'm in Chapter 6. Nalia reacts to Phaere in the Underdark, that was good because I hadn't heard from Nalia in a while and that reaffirmed to me the romance was still going on. The next test will be if Bodhi nabs her or nor.

The only "problem" I've run into is the Keep closes up and I cannot get into it, either by side entrance or drawbridge. As long as I don't need to get into it for any reasons concerning Nalia in the near future, I don't really care.

IIRC, Arnel's Nalia follows the convention of the Bioware romances where the lovetalks get suspended while in chapters four and five.

I have a little question :confused:
Do you need to start a new game if you want the Nalia romance to work?
(it's the only female char in my party: i took Jan, Minsc, Anomen, Keldorn and Nalia with me)

oh, and i have the 'Darkest Day' mod installed (v.1.03a).
Will this cause any problems with the Nalia romance mod??

Nalia and TDD will definitely not work with each other. Both files replace a key file (dialog.tlk) on your BG2 install, so whichever one you install first will be partially overwritten by the other--this will cause many bugs as you play. :(

In general, mods in WeiDU format will (generally) play nicely with other mods because they modify and extend your game files rather than replacing them. Neither TDD or Nalia are WeiDU, although I believe there is an ongoing project to convert TDD to a WeiDU install.

And yes, I believe you need to start a new game for the Nalia romance.

There is a WeiDU version of Nalia.

Are you referring to the new Nalia romance that JCompton is working on at FWS? Arnel's Nalia romance is not a WeiDU mod, and although there was some talk about converting it, it never happened.

If you know of a WeiDU version of Nalia, please post a link; I'd give it another go.

Roger the Fence is selling a 'Trollslayer' (a Great Sword!)
How can you get proficient in this class of weapons ??
Or do Great Swords fall under the same category as Bastard Swords (like in Icewind Dale)
