These are some very interesting things I've noticed while playing BGII.
First of all, King Strohm III (the king whose tomb you loot in the Windspear hills). You find the Book of King Strohm (on one of the mercenaries who are also looking for the treasure). It sais:
"The ancient text is yellowed and crumbling, and written in a language far- removed from modern-day common. Still, portions of it are translatable with effort. Overall, the book describes the burial of King Strohm III, and how great efforts were made to keep his tomb safe from the graverobbers that would surely follow once his kingdom fell due to treachery within. The king's son, Strohm IV, apparently commissioned the creation of a mask of his father that would allow access to the tomb. How it does so is not clear in the text, although it is mentioned that the mask is kept in six separate pieces by six guardians that had been summoned by Strohm's vizier... AND THAT THESE GUARDIANS WOULD ONLY SURRENDER THE MASK TO ONE OF STROHM'S BLOODLINE.
Ouch. Now, since Samia (the mercenary) tried to enter the tomb and loot it, and failed, but the guardians DID surrender the mask to your character (fight or no fight), does that make you a descendant of King Strohm? Hmmm......
Second of all. Something that the Shade Lord sais: "The noblest souls in life make the most deliciously evil undead", or something similar. Now, let's take THAT one step further. Who is the most evil undead in the game? Bodhi, of course. Does that make HER a noble soul in life?
Any ideas?
