Is there a place i can go to look at stats/facts?
I've got a million questions... like how long is a round/turn/hour?...i cant tell which spells cast quickly and which cast slowly, etc. etc. and I don't wanna flood the message boards with basic noobie questions...

I don't have a direct source but you can ask me basic newbie questions :)

Just for the first few, Round=6 Seconds Turn=10 Rounds (1 minute) hour=60 minutes (in game and in real life unless you travel I believe)

If you have billions of questions I'm always open to answer on AIM (GodRules44) go ahead an IM my anytime. I will look for a page with some useful info though, I would suggest looking over some second edition D&D rules, that's what BG is based on.

Thanks :0 So when it says the casting time is "1" is that 1 second? 1 round? 1 turn? (Maybie I'll get AIM up and running again)

Yeah, casting time is per second (or at least very close by my observations) so if you get an item that is reduce casting time by X, you cast any spell that many seconds faster. That's very helpful when casting spells that already have 1 casting time, you cast them instantly :) The one robe gives a spellcasting speed bonus of 4 (INSANE) so you cast any spell that takes 4 seconds or less you cast it instantly.

There's a good reason to be a mage... :)

Actually, 1 turn = 10 rounds (1 minute), 1 hour = 5 turn (5 minute).

Casting time is not measured in seconds - it is measured in 1/10ths of a round. So a casting time of 1 = 1/10th of a round (0.6 seconds), 5 would be 5/10ths of a round (3 seconds), etc.

Note re rounds: a round is 6 seconds, but I believe if you have sped up the game by changing the frame rates, the number of seconds in a round will change accordingly.

You can also find information about stats and units in the BG2 manual (pages 35-37 are fairly useful).

If you have misplaced the manual, you can find it in the games section. (http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/BG2-uk-english.rar)
