I'm sure I read somewhere in an FAQ that sorcerers could wear armour, with a percentile chance of spelll failure if they did. I haven't tried a sorcerer yet, but I don't see anyone taling about this in posts. So, do sorcerers get to wear armour, or did this get pulled during development?

They can wear all the same armor that mages can...

No, they can't, as I noted in my Sorcerer's Way Through BGII at http://www.sorcerers.net/Articles
They can't use crossbows either. They got very little from the 3rd edition.
They're just normal mages with different spellcasting ability in BG2.

I just read a little on 3rd ed. dnd rules, and I think they are a little too permissive.
A mage in big armor looks a little bit strange to me.
(on the other side I do remember Mithrantir wielding a large sword, and I do feel a little embarrased hitting at monsters with a wooden stick or a puny little dagger (well maybe large swords are x-rated for mages and they only get to use them when they are above 180).
