I was mulling over NPC thieving options and they are a little thin on the ground don't you think?

Considering what happens to Yoshimo there is no pure thief left in the game. Imoen, Jan and the useless Nalia.. I was thinking of creating a companion at the start of my next game but I don't like the idea from a role-playing point of view.. are there any drawbacks in multi-player mode I've never parttaken of it before.

I don't mind the thieving part, considering I have played the game through a couple of times with no thief at all.

As for the multiplayer part; the only real drawback is the lack of conversation. You can create a multiplayer game and then move the savegame to the non-multiplayer save directory. This will prevent you from clicking through an extra screen every time you load.

Not to mention the longer Load times...

Multiplayer is something that comes in rather handy at times. You can make an entire party that will be silent the whole game, or if your good at scripting you can give them conversations. Or you can make the Thief like you need if you dont want to be one( I almost always play as some form of thief, just because that happens to be my favorite character class) and continue through the game with NPC's that you find and want to join the party.

As an RP perspective, if your into that, he could have been silenced in some way, so that explains the lack of conversation.

When playing a multiplayer save, I sometimes find alot of little problems, nothing major but they could reduce your enjoyment of it.

I would be more specific but its been about half a year since I have played BG2 lol
