Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the staff of magi? I saw it in a list of items somewhere (cant remember where) and was wondering where I can find it. I know I can simply add to my character in the BGII editor but I would rather find it in the game. Thanks in advance for any help.

I need to start remembering locations of things, but instead i do the same quests every game (prolly only 75-85% of them) but i alsways manage to get the stuff i need. Do EVERYTHING in the underdark because u cant go back, as far as i know. theres about 10 differnt things to do (not including drow) and im prolly missing some.

Its in the Bridge District (Twisted Rune).
In the building just north from the Pirates (Kidnappers) hideout.
You can enter the building if you have a Rogue Stone but beware this is a very tough fight for a low level character.
Loot the staff from Layette's corpse

Question: do you have to have a rouge stone or some sort of rune stone to get in. I read elsewhere a rune stone, so I have already sold 2 rouge stones. Guess I sould buy them back if I have to, but if it is needed, how many are in the game.

You must have a rogue stone to get in Crawl. But you don't have to buy it back there are lots of Rogue Stones in Athkathla.I suggest entering the big estate in the Bridge District-the Alibakkar Estate if I recall correctly-.It has nice items and 1-2 rogues but there are lots of traps.I had 12 rogues in my bag when I finished the game so they are worthless as any other gem except for entering the twisted rune. But man,Fergus is right it is a very tough fight.I suggest entering when your party is around lvl14-15 (and able to cast 7th lvl spells and gate)

Can you give the nearest building or at least some persons near it...and if i remember correctly Alibakkar Estate is in Trademeet not at the bridge district.

I first entered this area when I was doing the Nalia quest. I was very low level at the time and was just looking about. I used a knock spell on the door which summoned the Wizards to take me away for using magic in the town then entered the area. Got my @$$ kicked inside the building so reloaded my auto-saved game when I entered the building, didn't enter this time and got my @$$ kicked by the wizards. Not a very good day for me.

yeah anybodey you may be right;Alibakkar's estate is probably in Trademeet.I can't remember the name -an Arabian name- but it is easily the biggest building in the Bridge District. You can't miss it..

Iron Eagle,

It is possible to return to the Underdark. All you have to do is go back down through the Elf temple you come out of. I did it just a few days ago. :)

Yeah, it's just really annoying killing all those beholders and such if you exited via the silver dragon.
