I did a lot of quests tonight. I did The Stronghold, Trademeets 2 quests and Druid Grove, and some small quests.

In that last message Syl when u said the Golems left, i was MAD, i went back to grab the items and they were gone!

At the time i didn't have any +3 weapons to kill the Iron Golem, my party is weak, i still only now have 1 +3 weapon and that's the Clerics Staff. DAMMIT WHAT HAPPENED???!!! :(

Also. on the remark u made about "Not feeling like u own the Stronghold" if u go back at regular times the mayor will let u know of problems in ur lands, like Bandits, or whatever. U talk with some of the townspeople and help out with what u can. I feel like i'm doing something, dont' know about you....

I don't want to go back though, I think that's our difference. I simply don't care about it and it's too far from Athkatla where I do all my selling and buying. I don't want to have to travel 2-3 days to De'Arnise Hold, then back another 2-3 days to Athkatla to sell or equip myself. It's simply a hassle when you're already on 3-5 quests as it is and with De'Arnise Hold to worry about, only makes things more hectic.

Now I love how many quests there are, but getting another 2-4 when you already have 3-5 to deal with...no thanks. De'Arnise Hold can wait until I'm done the ones I already have.

On a note with +3 weapons, there are a good many in Athkatla. Off hand - Lilacor the Two-Handed Talking Sword +3, Long Sword of The Rose +3 (merchant in The Slums District), Azuredge Battle Axe +3 (merchant in The Slums District), Quarterstaff +3 (merchant in Waukeen's Promenade that only comes out at night). That would give you 4 characters with +3 weapons.

Well, when I had the Fighter's Stronghold, what I did was pass through there whenever I was out on one of the "out of town" quests. Usually between those quests, I would want to return to town (to sell stuff and re-equip), or even if I was headed to another "out of town" area, the D'Arnise Keep was usually not too far out of my way.

In any case, I think there is plenty of opportunity to make a pit stop at your Stronghold, and as best I can tell, none of the quests involve anything serious, so it's not like you're adding to your workload. :)

I dont know about the other stronghold's but the but the fighter stronghold is a bit of a waste of time. Sack a guard, hire a cleric, fight of an invasion consisting of about six guards (yawn). There is no real tangible benefit or stimulating quests in my opinion associated with it.

What they should have done is, when you get a Stronghold, give that certain character class assosiated with their Stronghold quests that uncover unexplored areas around Athkatla or within.

So perhaps being Lord of De'Arnise Hold would put a place full of Trolls, Orcs and Ogres on your map as constant bombardments from their forces have given you no other alternative but to remove the threat yourself.

A mage could travel to another plane of existance, or teleport using an item created by his lacky's to a village or far location to find an item needed for an even more powerful magical item!

Just basic more depth that would unlock areas based on your class/stronghold would have been pretty sweet.

In due time. In due time.

Yeah, but then they get all the whiners saying "That's not FAIR! Just because I picked such and such class shouldn't mean I get less of the game! Wah, wah, wah!"

I agree with you there Syl they could of made Strongholds an interesting aspect of the game instead unless you are desperate for a little extra experiance its a waste of time.
