This is my first time through SoA and I was just wondering if anyone else took the same trip to the asylum I did.

I went in as a patient via the guy Yoshimo knows, and then when I saw Imoen all nutso after trudging so long and hard to save her whining butt, I whacked on her and Irenicus appeared. I never actually entered the way the walkthrough says. Kinda odd actually, because when you come out, you have no clue where you are! Just outside the building.

Also, did anyone else get the lovely recipe from the loony tune in the rec room?

Yeah, you can enter the asylum in one of two different ways: through the front door, or via the pirate lord. Too bad you let Yoshimo do the talking for you, it's way funnier if Minsc does. (-:

The crazy people give you all kinds of silly items--recipes from the paranoid elf, stupid ciphers from the ex-director, gems from the bard...

HINT: As I read somewhere these ciphers are NOT SILLY AT ALL. They can be decoded to reveal the way to get some of the best stuff in the game... but only in TOB. If you are interested post in TOB section. I will just say it has to do with collecting 3 pairs of trousers : from BG1, BG2 SOA and TOB.

i've read in an interview with the designers saying that whole thing was the stupidest thing they implemented in the game :p It is fun tho.
