Sorry, I'm sure this has been answered before, but the only posts i could find were concerning how to beat him...

I just got done fighting a lich (can't even remember where it is, but he said that he was protecting part of kangaxx's body) so after beating him i took his body part, and I have some other body parts but not sure if they're related to kangaxx or not. If anyone could give me a walk through how to find him and or his body parts I'd appreciate it.

thanks
jim

He is in a locked house in the docks district. Iirc it is the first on on your left, when you leave the "stairs" going from north to south on the western site of the docks map (with opther words, it is the house two or three houses to the left of Mae'Var's guildhall). The door is locked (and maybe trapped too, cannot remember).

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT! Read on at own risk..

QUEST: Restore Kangaxx the Demi-Lich (from Taganath)

Kangaxx's House - Docks (AR 0300, x 2700 y 2270)
Arms & Legs - Sewers (AR 0202, x 1700 y 500)
Torso - Bridge (AR 0500, x 1600 y 3340)

The house to the right of the Sea's Bounty Inn holds a terrible
secret. De-trap and unlock the door, go into the house and into
the basement. When you double-click on the sarcophagus, Kangaxx
asks you to retrieve his body, which has been scattered around
Athkatla. His arms and legs are in the sarcophagus in the sewers
under the temple district on the same screen as the cult of the
eyeless. You have to fight the Shade Lich for them. His torso is
located in the basement of a house in the Bridge section in yet
another Sarcophagus and is guarded by the Elemental Lich. (you can
find more detailed instructions on these Liches in the appropriate
sections)

Once you have both pieces, return to Kangaxx and he gloats at you,
then attack you.

I've left out combat advices in the walkthrough quote, as you did not ask for that ;) . Anyways everyone will be more than happy to help you, should you be in trouble :) .

your directions were perfect, thanks! Yeah, I found him, but after finding him I had wished i hadn't. I beat him in his first form, but his second seemed impossible. I have an idea though, and I'm going to try that out before I go looking on the forums on how to beat him...

The tactics of my old Versus "Perfect" Guide for Kangaxx are "It's probably the most ridiculous monster to grace the likes of PC/console game history. It deals out death faster then a machine gun, and you have little to no means of protection. If you beat him, give us a call and we'll give you a job as our lead strategist. We're serious..."

no kidding. i mean seriously, there has to be no limit to the amount of imprisonments he can throw! Is there a limit? If there is, I haven't seen it!

No, there's no limit; he casts from script, so he can throw those down all day & night, if need be.

@ Ilmater's Suffering: there's a lot of people out there who'd qualify for that job! Just take a look at www.baldurdash.org (http://www.baldurdash.org) and go to the "50 ways to kill your Kangaxx" section if you don't believe me! :xx:

In fairness, Kangaxx is the very definition of a one-trick pony; it's not often people get whomped by him more than once or twice. There's a variety of ways to stop him, if you know the game. It's certainly worth going full-tilt with limited charge items and scrolls, if you need to.

As Magpie mentioned, if you find means through which you can negate his imprisonment (and there's tons!), he goes out fairly easy, as that is pretty much all he can do.

And there *is* no amount to the number of imprisonments he can throw... just as I am a cheese merchant, so is the people who scripted him .

SPOILER ALERT!

Iirc you need +3 or 4 weapons to hurt him. Spell Immunity: (which one do *you* think that you need ;) ) or the Berserker's rage ability are both great against him. Protection from undead and magic is also good versus Kangaxx... The ring of ram (which you can get two of!) also has its use in this battle.

Once you've beat your first Demi-Lich, you shouldn't have any problems with others you may () encounter throughout the game(s).

that old Versus book was written in 2000 and none of the bonus equipment was used (hence all beholder tactics revolve around the spells protection from magical energy and deathward), speaking of which does Joluv the Merchant not come with the bonus addition? Hence their only winnable strategy (specifically since I believe they're trying to have you run through Kangaxx in the second chapter) is labeled a cheese tactic where you surround him and proceed to bash him into the ground while he's still blue so you don't have to worry about taking damage while he's still in his liche form.

Joluv and Diedre are both bonus merchants. they are both detailed in the old versus book as well as their items. In a sidebar next to their rather hardly helpful hints about the romances.

It's basic tactics are basically throw a bunch of creatures at the enemy while using tons of long ranged weapons or charming and confusing things for the most part. And that's for like most of the battles in the game. There are easier tactics.

Edit: I checked and your spells are right according to the little monster compendium thing in the back of the book.

hrmmm.... Deidre is the only merchant of the two that seems to appear in my game, Bernard is the only merchant in the Copper Cornnet. I probably should download Joluv.

Joluv if you have him appears at the end of the bar that nalia and anomen stand at. He should be just off the end of the roasting pit type thing in the middle of the in.
