Are you bound to lose control of your guild when you head to Spellhold and cannot return to pay your quota?

That's dumb. Why can't my 'lieutenant' do the paying for me? Why can't I leave about 10K gold in the guild for him to use in case of 'financial setbacks'?

Ah well, it's only a game...
Still...I feel rather pissed off, seeing as it has the coolest stronghold concept in the game.

I think all stronghold quests are on hold in Chapters 4-6. But yeah... I rushed through those chapters when I played the thief stronghold just in case. ;)

You will lose the stronghold but can go back and claim it

So you can the get the Stronghold back....

Is it worth it? Really? Nothing of note has happened besides continuing sending out thieves on missions - its pretty routine.

It's got a bunch of really cool quests if you can keep the stronghold. The extra income may well come in handy if you need spare change for some more powerful weapons or healing potions.

You know, I don't know if this has ever happened to anybody else.

When I've played as an evil fighter/thief, I accepted the guildhouse. I then sided with Bodhi. Yes, that's right. Bodhi.

Went to Spellhold and all that. Came back. Business as usual with Renald Bloodscalp. Go figure. And here, I listen to all this. How do these vast differences manifest?

Because it only checks your alliance once when you get it, and personally I think Renal can't be bothered and let's the peopel under him deal with it while taking money and whatever.
