my brother just ruined my current game with my kensai that i was gonna duel class into a mage. :mad:

i was thinking of making monk or make another kensai/mage(later on) and have a cleric and another fighter like minsc, i want to hvae the fewest possible number of characters in my party and still be safe.

anyone with any ideas plz post.

I think that elven/half-elven fighter/thieves or fighter/mages are really (if only you could make a fighter/sorcerer or rogue/sorcerer, ahhh the pleasures of 3E) Sorcerers are cooler than mages but unfortunately you cant multi or dual them :( a kensai/mage is cool enough but not my favorite charater. A plain or Stalker- ranger is also good. The ranger/cleric is good but i dont like using it as my main. i generally stay away from the short races because i dont think they offer that much for a main character. Well, i'm rambling hope you could use at least some of my advice.

(BTW, Whatever you do DONT include Minsc!! He is a bad NPC, he's annoying and he's stupid. Make a (semi-) warrior yourself instead (Minsc: :almostmad: :mad: :flaming: )

the shameless promoter of fighter/thieves says : be a fighter/thief - and all you need then is a cleric and a mage (aerie) - you can then finish the game with just you and aerie - minimal amount of characters and lots of experience =)

A party with four characters is controlled and yet "safe". Less than that (two or three) is also quite possible, but if you're worried about "safety" do not try soloing. Instead try:

You: Paladin OR Archer
Jaheira: Fighter/Druid
Imoen: Mage/Thief
Aerie: Cleric/Mage OR Keldorn: Inquisitor (depending on your choice of PC)

You: Swashbuckler/Cleric
Imoen: Mage/Thief
Keldorn: Inquisitor

or

You: Ranger/Cleric
Imoen: Mage/Thief

AND DO NOT USE MINSC!!!!

Jan: illusionist/thief
aerie: mage/cleric

And maybe another person like keldorn or valygar? or is 3 enough?
