Tyresian Mon, 16th Jul '01, 1:56am Keldorn and mazzy. Thats it afaik. Ragusa Mon, 16th Jul '01, 6:03am I gues it's because of the choice between an evil or a good path ... they will also leave when you try to kill that idiot Valygar in his cabin to enter the sphere quest so I think killing him is evil as well ... though I don't understand why ... Silverblade Mon, 16th Jul '01, 11:55am I don't know about Mazzy, but when I killed Valygar, Keldorn didn't leave me, he didn't even complain. tjekanefir Mon, 16th Jul '01, 5:34pm Uh... yeah, I think hunting down and assassinating a good man is generally considered an evil act. Even if you think he's an idiot. (-: Ragusa Mon, 16th Jul '01, 6:28pm Well actually I found about it like that: My party was perfectly ballanced and the last thing I wnted was to dump a valuable party member for Valygar. I went into his cabin and (stupid me :D ) started a conversation with him and declared that I wanted to kill him because of killing cowled wizards. Mazzy and Keldorn left the party immediately. Valygar may be a victim of injust treatment, but IMHO it needs more to make him a *good* man. This brought me to the idea to reload and to do the spere quest later, when Keldorn and Mazzy had to deal with their family. Valygar suffered a regrettable lonely death when I forgot to aid him fighting a vampire, silly me ... another hero on the glorious road to free Faerun from evil undead. (btw - I *was not* playing my paladin then :D ) tjekanefir Mon, 16th Jul '01, 9:44pm You're welcome to kill anyone in the game who annoys you; it's set up so you can. (-: But yeah, it's an evil act. Whether you think he's "really, REALLY good" or not. Whacking people who annoy you is evil. Unless they start it; then you have that self-defense claim. That's what happened between me and Saemon Havarian. *wink* Jander Sunstar Mon, 16th Jul '01, 10:31pm I think I am the only one who likes Valygar. Spudsquisher Tue, 17th Jul '01, 12:04am i can't stand him! he has an ok sword, which is a pain if he gets confused and attacks a weak party member, so i always kill him. do it before picking up mazzy or keldorn and dump minsc and you will have no problems. he is not hard to kill Jander Sunstar Tue, 17th Jul '01, 1:25am Well I am in the underdark and have Valygar already I think it is a bit late to get Mazzy or Keldorn, but I am happy with him. My main character is also a Ranger - Stalker, together they hide in shadows and go for some backstabbing fun... tjekanefir Tue, 17th Jul '01, 5:36pm Jander, don't feel all alone. I like Valygar a lot. (-: He's a class guy, and a solid team member. I do wish they'd developed him a little more, though. He seems to have some aborted attempting-to-maitain-celibacy plot going, and the thing with Suna was confusing and half-assed. He seems like he'd be a really great character if he had half the attention given to him that, say, Anomen got. I would have been interested in a romance with him, too, even if he does have no neck. His voice is cool. (-: |
