I know, yet another thread from me. I'm so annoying.

I read somewhere that after you've done the stuff with the eggs, you should refuse the demon and then get out of the city as fast as possible. Why? Is there some reason I can't just leave the demon and then go kill all the drow? (playing a chaotic good char)

I have done a couple of different ways.

- Allow the Demon to kill everyone and get away without a fight. Using mass invisibility to get out of the city.

- again allowing the Demon to kill then kill the Demon. Then exiting the city in a rampage. Great for EXP, but only did it with high level parties.

In all cases I have completed the silver dragon eggs quest. Very fun, especially since I have read all the Salvetore books and can really summon up some good mental images for this part of the game.

In some cases, that demon cannot be beat. He's immune to everything except +5 weapons, and the only +5 weapons in the game are MMM, Carsomyr, SoTM, and the Improved Mace of Disruption. If you don't have those weapons, don't even bother with fighting him.

You can kill all the drow if you want. It makes no real difference.

Jerod's Mace from Joluv is +5 against demons, but according to CamDawg the Infinity Engine doesn't allow changes in enchantment for weapons such as Bone Club, Daystar, etc. Whether or not it's programmed to be +5 or not, I don't know. I may have to summon it up when I meet the demon tommorow probably.

Believe it or not, Jerod's Mace is coded as a +2 weapon.

That's pathetic.

I get kinda bored with the items in SoA, so Freedom's Reign and the Item Upgrade mods are cool. There's lots of +5 weapons in those two.

Lower resist twice, then magic missile him to death occasionally works. With +5 items from mods, he's kindof easy. And MMM ignores MR too, so just pelting him with them should work as well.

What happens if you give the real eggs over to the Matron Mother? Does the demon actually rampage the surface elves, because that would kind of ruin the story line. Or would the silver dragon step in and fight the beast.

Or maybe you would just get slaughtered.

IIRC, because he's an evil demon he exposes you. At which point you have to slaughter the drow city.
