View Full Version : A matter of timing?

I am early on in to SoA, just out from the Irenicus dungeon, and looking about in the Copper Coronet. If I grab Nalia and Korgan from there, does anyone know how tight the time constraints are for each to do their initial quests, before they get annoyed and leave the party.

What with the slavers thing to do first, and Korgan's quest, and Nalia's De Arnise keep adventure, one may get so annoyed with waiting they will quit the party. I haven't had this problem before, as I do not usually mix good and evil.

Current party is (as always) a new mix. Me (F/T), Kelsey, Anomen and Minsc now (Minsc goes soon), and Nalia and Korgan soon to join with Keldorn picked up rather later on.

I'm sure Korgan won't cause any trouble, other than grumbling from time to time. I'm not sure about Nalia, though.

Korgan will grumble every few days. Nalia will complain after 6 days (iirc) then leave after a further six.

You can send Nalia back to her keep. I did that then did some other quests and she was patiently waiting when I got around to her.

I had Keldorn leave half way through Unseeing eye but have never had a problem with anyone else - Edwin and Korgan always wait until I clear out Bhodi's joint.

San Ti, the whole enjoyment (for me) of doing BG2 many times, is variety. I took Edwin through last time around, so this time it is Nalia that gets to go. Equally, that is why this time I am picking Anomen over Viconia for cleric spells.

In my experience, I've had both Korgan and Nalia quit the party when I didn't do their quests. Not sure how much time you are given, but I think I recall Korgan being more impatient than Nalia.

Also I think if you do the first part of their quests, they stop complaining for good.
