When you defeat the Master of Thralls on the Haer'dalis plot you get the Orb. Keep it and gather as many Thrall ring-things as you can. Did you notice that the Thralls are impervious to Domination? Well if ou hold the Orb and put the ringlets on you get a domination of your people that cannot be dominated. This may not work on Patched versions but it worked on mine. Particularly useful agains mindflayers.

Thrall Collar:
"This collar is used to dominate and enslave any individual who wears it. The slaves, or thralls, are usually controlled by the bearer of the Mastery Orb. Once worn, the collar's power cannot be broken except through the use of a Remove Curse spell or the destruction of the mastery orb."

So much for that.

Oh, btw, cavalier won't be dominated nor any NPC who has already equipped any item that protects from charm - unless you deequip charm protecting item.
Although not dominated, you'll still have to cast remove curse on those NPCs to get rid of that collar.

Anyone out there know where the term Thrall comes from? I do...I wonder if you do?

IIRC, Thrall comes from some type of Vampire. In other fantasy games.. a 'new' vampire was a Fledgling, and a very experienced 'high up' vampire was a Thrall.

Could be, but BioWare definitely used the dictionary definition of thrall, which makes perfect sense in this case.
