When the Orb reaches level 12, are all of the past effects cumulative? For example, does the level 12 Orb contain the effects for its level, and including petrification, and all the other past effects?

Aren't the effects only upgraded?

True but at least at higher levels I they cant save Vs that damage and it isnt stoped by the stinking spell called shield like Magic Missile.
