Man does this section get a lot of posts! I thought the IWD board was impressive when it hit 1000 posts and here we are up to nearly 3000 on BG2 and the game hasn't even been out that long. This is THE place I go to get my RPG info!

The problem is, on this forum, stuff gets lost in the shuffle. Trying to find a particular topic that was posted a week ago is frustrating, especially with the way some people name thier topics. Would you consider:
Making more than 20-25 (or whatever it is now) topics available on one page. It would be cool to see 50 or even 100 at once.

Or, better yet:

Divide the BG2 forum into sections.
A section for party posts, a section for quest posts, one for items, one for monsters, etc. That would really help organize things and may prevent some of these recurring questions that pop up over and overin multiple topics. (I've seen at least 3 concerning the shadow dragon, a number on romances, etc)

Don't know anything about web coding so I'm not sure how possible these things would be, or how much work it would mean for you ;), but it's a suggestion. Of course some people would use the wrong category and some would be about more than one subject but it would really be a big help.

I know most people just hop directly to the boards and don't even know how much customization UBB (the software Boards O' Magick use) actually allows.

First of all, everyone should read the FAQ page at http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/faq.html
It covers everything I've written below and does a good job of explaining how the whole boards actually work.

You can customize practically every aspect of the boards at http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi (main forumn listing page) in the top right corner, just below the Boards O' Magick text.
PROFILE, PREFERENCES and SEARCH are the ones any registered user should check out AFTER they've read the FAQ.
I'll list direct links to each of them below as well.

PROFILE - to edit any of your personal information like the password you use on the boards, your homepage, occupation, ICQ number, your e-mail and so on.
You can access it at http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ubbmisc.cgi?action=editbio (have your username and password handy if you didn't choose them to be stored for you as a cookie).

PREFERENCES - here you can reset all of the cookies the boards have set for you (for your password and username and so on), define whether you want the boards to store your info in a cookie at all, and set the default topic view. This means that you can choose the age of topics the boards should display and it should ease navigating through the posts a bit more.

SEARCH - if you know what you want, or know when it was posted, or have no clue at all but just want to try a few keywords like "mind flayer" (if you need info on how to kill them for instance), it's really easy to use the search feature integrated into the boards.
Go to http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/search.cgi?action=intro and use the plethora of options the search engine allows.

Ok, Lord Balduran, here's the answer you seek. No, you cannot set the amount of topics available on one page yourself. Only the forum admin (that would be me) can do that because this setting is domain-wide, it appears like that in all forums.
Currently there are 40 topics displayed at one time.
More than you thought eh? ;)
However since we are getting a lot of traffic here I'll set the number to 50. Hopefully that'll help out a bit.
