I Have Shadow Keeper. It rocks. My mages are limited to bloody staves and daggers. That sucks. The dream is to have my sorcerer (Lv.13 if that matters) using something like a wakizashi or some other such weapon. Can Shadow Keeper do this? If not, how?

You might be able to but I don't know how.
You can put proficiency points in the weapons and put the weapon in you hand with SK but if you ever took it out you would have to use SK to put it back in.

Why not instead of using SK, just start a new game make a Fighter, dualclass him the second you to a Mage, then you can basicly use everything, and just for the cost of a couple 100000 exp, althought he is a wuss untill he reaches lvl 8 or 9, but hey he'll lvl up pretty quick, and before you know it, he is able to use a Two-Handed Sword or what ever weapon you prefer :)
this way also ensures that the game wont crash or make a bug, as this is implimented into the game

Have fun with the imcompatabilities (I know that's going to be the hit line of a midnight sitcom someday)! Shadow Keeper can place items directly on the body of the character, right (I hope so, not sure though!)? Just place your favorite sword on the mage's weapon hand using Keeper. Done and done. If not, make his icon something cool and be a bard or an avenger - dual- or multi- class! Backup your saves and try anything you can think of. This game was meant to be easily hacked, believe it or not.

A sorcerer with an sk'ed wakizashi  .... impossible - yes, you can add it with SK, but at least after the next level up you'd have to add it again :p
What you'll presumably like to play is a dc kensai-mage: Create a kensai with ***** in wakizashis and dual him to a mage early, at lvl-9, 12 or 13 (depends on hiw strong you'd like him to be in melee). He'll be a real asskicker :)
The alternative would be an mc fighter-mage, also quite strong, even stronger in melee but inferior in terms of spellcasting.

Yeah I used, to play the dc Kenzai/Mage, but got a little tired of not being able to use bracers, so I recommend either a dc from a pure Fighter or the Beserker kit to mage, at least then you can use bracers
