Just out of curiousity what does everyone think of the new portraits. Imoen's is awesome and a 100% improvement. I don't like Minsc's but then I didn't like his original. I hate Jaheira's new one. And the other guy was new so I can't compare him.

Most of the character portraits are just fine, Minsc looks fat! :P Anyways, I was thinking of drawing my own portraits this time.. no color, just well drawn Gray shades of them. Im a fairly good artist and if I ever get them done I will perhaps send it to this site for posting!

They're okay. I'll just download some custom portraits. Or, I could do some of my own, and perhaps I would post them on my upcoming website...

I must say that I'm not terribly impressed by the character portraits of NPC's from the original game. I liked their origional portraits better. Now Minsc is a fat chunck and Jaheira looks totally out of character in my opinion. I prefer the other new NPC portraits because I have nothing to compare them to.

i like the original ones better than the new ones. Imoen looks depressed, and i agree, Jaheira does look way out of characater, i didn't even think it was her. the same goes for Minsc.

Will it be possible to import portraits from IWD?

Imoen...PINK HAIR! I thought she was this "girlish/impish" character, I understand that adventuring can be quite traumatic, but c'mon...
Minsc...Not PHAT, but FAT! What's the deal? I just don't get this whole change, I mean is he supposed to look tough and they just couldn't convey his musculature in a head shot so he's gotta be a tub?
Jaheira...Unlike some of my peers I actually like this one. She looks very half-elvish and somewhat "hotter" than before... I just hope that stuttering coward Khalid doesn't get in my way again!

I think that Khalid is supposed to be dead or maybe just had hideous experiments done on him or something like that. Serves him right. :p

I tell people but they don't believe me. Khalid is the new villian in Baldur's Gate 2! He was under a mask of a good the entire time! Khalid is actually an evil mastermind (With a huge stutter to throw anyone off), who infiltrated the Harpers. He mysteriously vanished after your adventures in Baldur's Gate and tries his best to thwart your every move while staying hidden. I'M TELLING YOU ALL, IT'S THE TRUTH!

Oh gawd... forgive me but this is the second time I'm laughing my ass off at the expense of Fat Egg.
I mean, ok, granted it's funny and my stomach still hurts but he listened to what I've had to say and is now playing by the rules same as everyone else.

I think all the portraits stink!

You might be able to import the old Baldur's Gate ones into the game.

Well those weren't the final versions of them, but they'll be more or less like that. Only cosmetic corrections from there on.
Yes, the old BGI portraits will be included on the CD for you to re-use if you'd like to.

I just think they all look (to obviously) drawn, I mean; the ones from BG were more realistic then these cartoons they will use now,
but if you choose an old pic from BG, you'll be the only one (probably) with a normal portrait istead of thes "cartoon" portraits!
And that doesn't look right either...!
