*Hmph*!

This is sooo great.... I have Edwin as the only mage in my party. I wanted him because of the Nether Scroll quest, and what happens? I pick the wrong dialogue.
And, after I kick Haer'Dalis out of my party, I realize something horrible> No one in my party can use the Identify spell. So when I realize this, I go and get the Glasses of ID, but they work only thrice a day, so...

Can we say "pissed off?"

So what I want to say is: Having Edwin as your only mage sucks without the glasses... and even with them, unless you happen to have heck of a lot lore...

Anyway, I like Edwin just for the comic relief. True, it suxx that you picked the 'party treasure' option. Too bad you don't have a save just before that. Some of the dialogue pathways are pretty narrow. Like the Viconia romance.

I'd grab the beer but I'm underage.... Ah, who cares, I've been drinking since I was 14. Even before. I managed to get spirits from a liquor store when I was 12...

Edwin IS fun... If I had an editor, I'd try to script an Edwin romance...

Do you *really* need to id more than three things a day? Cant you just id the importand stuff when you need it and id the other stuff when you have the time?

Edwin has a decent Lore to identify many items.

Arabwel, if you have sufficient wisdom, you can get a second pair of glasses of identification from the limited wish scroll (as well as the pair sold by the shadow theif in Gaelan Boyle's house.

I have a Cleric/Mage with pretty good lore and the glasses - that's always been plenty for me.
In fact, she seems to accumulate identify scrolls so when the glasses run out I always have several on hand to identify anything that "just can't wait" until tomorrow.

If you're hard pressed for spells, just save, ID as much as you can, reload, ID the rest instead. Then decide what you need and reload, ID what you want to use. Robert's your fathers brother.

You're not likely to need all the stuff before you've had a chance to rest.

Just a tip, you can't carry many good things when you have identified them, esp. while in a dungeon or lacking fighters around.

Ehm... why not just load the aut-save after you used the wrong dialogue? ANd you can still identify items with the glasses of identification, these are for sale by the merchant that lives in the same house as Gaelan Bayle, one floor higher....

I found out I chose the wrong dialogue about 20 days forward in the game... that's why. And I do have the glasses.
