Kay, I've started a pure fighter, wich I dualed to thief when reached LvL 9. Now, I was wondering ; Can't u backstabb with Longswords!!!??? I have found no table for this, and I must say that I'm pretty dissapointed when I saw that u could only backstab humanoids. What counts as humanoids? Is it ; elves, drow, human, dwarves, gnomes, halfers, and half-orcs?

Please, if anyone knows the address to some kind of table for weapons usable by backstabbers, post the link here.

I don't know if such table exists, however I always used Short Sword of Backstabbing that you get from Renal Bloodscalp for exposing Mae'Var.

You can backstab with any weapon a thief can use, this includes longswords.

You can´t only backstabb humanoids - I sucessfully backstabbed almost everything in the game, *EXCEPT* vampiric mists, beholderlike creatures, kua-toas, dragons and demon knights.

Backstab beholders? you sure? I tried this several times and got the "the backstab seems to have failed" message all the time. Also got this with golems.
