I can't seem to change into a slayer. I'm currently in the Underdark. I click on the button and my character does a little jiggle with her hands but then nothing happens. Also i appear to have lost all my other special abilities, like 'draw on holy might', 'slow poison', 'health' and 'horror'. Is this supposed to happen?
The only thing i can think of that caused this to happen was the dream where i kill Bhaal. When i entered the building i selected wisdom, from the Demon which took it down to 7. Sadly i cant go back as i've saved over it.

Have you slept enough yet to receive the message "You can now changed into the slayer at will"?

IIRC, this takes 2 sleep periods...

But, once you have changed into the slayer for the first, uncontrolled," time (when you see Bodhi, then you do lose the other Bhaalspawn abilites....

Your special abilities are lost after the video sequence when you arrive in Spellhold, as Irenicus has "drenched you from the very essence of your soul". Concerning your problem, perhaps you have used the slayer ability for this day, try resting. I'd advice you though to be very carefoul when using this ability since each time you do, you lose 2(if I am not mistaken) reputation points.

I think it just doesnt work, i may hopefully have a saved game which i can go back to where it may work. When i rested i changed into a slayer and attacked everybody in my party, so i didn't rest until out of spellhold and didnt change to a slayer. That might have ruined it.

Yes, you may be right. You could also try to rest inside the spellhold which might trigger the video sequence after which you gain the ability. Perhaps again it's a matter of (game)time and you have to wait, I don't know. Anyway if you don't suceed I hope you will find a recent savegame...

I never used the slayer ability.
It isn't really a loss as far as I'm concerned

Today in my game I went through spellhold and I "defeated" irenicus.
Next I went for the ship thing.
I needed the horn, so I slept for it to become night,
I got the slayer change ability.
I never did turn on my team m8s in the dungeon cus I never slept there.

Conclusion: You don't need to sleep in the dungeon.
