View Full Version : Is there a time limit in the game?
Demitri Tue, 11th Sep '01, 8:19pm I am playing this game for the first time. It's been about a month since I started, and I've been trying to do all the side quests on my own. I am still on chapter 2 and it's been 15 days on my clock. I don't think there was any reference of a time limit but those dreams I'm having right before resting are starting to worry me.
Blackthorne TA Tue, 11th Sep '01, 8:22pm No, there is no overall time limit that you have to meet. Individual quests may have a time limit to them, but it's usually stated explicitly that you must do something by a certain time...

Character quests (Keldorn's family, Nalia's daddy's funeral, Anomen's knighthood) are usually timed, and Phaere's quests in the Underdark are also timed. Bodhi's spellhold maze is, contrary to popular belief, not timed. Good luck.
Julius Skull Tue, 11th Sep '01, 10:31pm I'm on day 215 and counting. For more info on other people time wasteage in this game, check the post entitled "time". I had a similar insecurity about the time issue. I was more ashamed about having taken so much time to complete the game, but reassured when someone told me... as long as it's still fun, it's still it dunna matta. Condolensces by the way to any Americans out there, or anyone who took today's events as hard or harder than i. What a horrible day in history, speaking of time :( .
Demitri Wed, 12th Sep '01, 12:33am thanks for the replies, for awhlie I didn't think there would be any Iomen to save. I won't worry about it. By the way my vice-presented of the place where i work was in the north building when the attack was made. He started to evcuate. He was on the 53rd fl when the second plane hit. Forutnely he and other manager survived.
rafael1234 Wed, 12th Sep '01, 3:10am oh,this accident was so horrible
[Oh it was no accident, and while I agree that it is horrible, discussing it does not belong in this forum. - BTA]

tjekanefir Wed, 12th Sep '01, 5:55pm It's hard not to, BTA. It can't help but be on everyone's minds, especially those of us who live in the area.
But I'll try hard to stick to the topic. In BG2, unlike in real life, time is not a matter of life or death. Whether you drop everything and rush to retrieve Imoen or dawdle and take all year, Jon will still catch her just before you get there to rescue her. So, take your time and enjoy the game. Worrying about Immie excessively won't help her and will just make you feel rushed. (-:
