I read that Saemon will give you the first part of the Silver sword if you take up his offer after the Asylum battle with Irenicus. Well, I didn't take up the offer then but took my chances with the teleporter instead. I am now wondering whether he will appear later so that I can grab that part. Does anyone know? Looking at its specs, I think it will be a neat sword for Minsc to complement the talking sword.

Sorry Ganz but I don't believe you'll be seeing him again. If you REALLY have a desire for the sword you'll have to reload a save game (hopefully you have one) that put's you back in the Assylum. Then you can go about choosing things differently.

BTW, you can kill Saemon for the sword piece as well. My first party came across him in the Assylum and 'vengefully' relieved him of his betrayin' life. He had the sword piece on him. Other's choose to 'follow' his side quests and get it that way.

Thanks, Draco. I've just come out of the Underdark and have no desire to go through the whole thing again by reloading. I'll try that with the next game. I read from another thread that I missed the Sahuagin city and a couple of other cool items, like the wave halberd. Oh well, let the chips fall where they may.
