I always assumed that either: 1)The site was taken down for "maintenance" (no I don't know what that would involve, I am a COBOL person, not a Web page programmer, dammit!) 2)there were so many people on the site that I couldn't get in. I myself couldn't get through, the server that has the cgi scripts for the message board was down or couldn't be hit for whatever reason. Seems they're fixed now. It also happens the odd time when two people are trying to register a post at the exact sametime. Usually hitting the refresh button or waiting a minute fixes it, but if it happens all the time, it's the server. Syl... Taluntain Fri, 13th Oct '00, 5:26pm Sorry for all the inconvenience folks. I was so pissed off when I found out that none of the cgi scripts were working but I couldn't do a damn thing about it till I got home. And even after that it took a while to get it fixed. Similarily, I couldn't even put a notice in the news about it because that also runs off a cgi script... AARGH! Well now it's been fixed and the problem report is also available in the news at the main page at http://www.sorcerers.net Hopefully it won't be a problem anymore, but if it just happens from time to time, try reloading the page. That works for the simultaneous posts problem.
