Is there anything of worth other then XP in the Beholder area of the underdark? I scouted most of the area out with Imoen equiped with the staff of the Magi and cloak of non-detection and there does not seem to be anything special. Does one of the Beholders drop something?

The Elder Orb at the start has a couple of things; other than that, I don't recall anything of significance...

I think the Elder orb at the start drops the blade of the eqilizer, and if you search the walls, there is one area if i recall correctly which has a large stash of gems and money. You also get the eye stalk which Phaere wants in the Drow city.

...there are a couple of niches all around the 'wheel'. As already mentioned mostly filled with gems, scrolls etc. but there are two worth mentioning: one with a Greenstone Amulet which protects from PSI-attacks (comes in handy if you plan to raid the mindflayer dungeon) and another with a nice sling+4 of Arvoreen (if you like slings at all)...

AAAHHH, I've missed more stuff in the underdark. At least I can go back and get that stuff if I wish. About where did you find those two items in the beholder tunnels?

Those items mentioned (the Greenstone Amulet & the +4 Sling) are the biggest treasures found in the Belholder complex.

It is impossible to correctly give any directions in that area due to it's layout. However you MUST search EVERY wall slowly and you'll find numerous stashes. Literrally some of these stashes are just holes in the walls. I for one am a 'sling -er' so I always pick up the Sling found in that area. There are a couple of +3, +4 and one +5 Sling in the game that I know of. But for those Cleric's, the Sling can be an awesome weapon.
