if we cast an area effect spell, like let's say holy smite, cloud kill and others, would invisible creatures in the area be affected?

Confirmer9 Fri, 3rd May '02, 8:17am Ummmm, YES. They will be affected. corbulo87 Fri, 3rd May '02, 12:40pm yes they do. (i needed to post fluff for my hundredth post!!!) [You'd better not make it a habit.] -Tal [This message has been edited by Taluntain (edited May 03, 2002).] Master of Nuhn Fri, 3rd May '02, 8:01pm Just like shooting someone or placing a bomb: You can't shoot (non-area) someone when he's hidden, since you can't aim at this person. When you place a bomb or something (area) all people in the area will be affected. You can run but you can't hide! yappie! Fri, 3rd May '02, 11:07pm Um...shouldnt that be You can Hide but you cant Run? Master of Nuhn Fri, 3rd May '02, 11:53pm lil off topic maybe.... depends: Biblical Motif is 'You can run but you can't hide....don't stop...don't look back' etc. Boots of Speed: You can hide but you can't run. Area effects like bombs cloudkill: Can run, can't hide for area effects. Just like in the 'Biblical Motif' (Biblical Motif is translated literally from Dutch, I dont know the English way.) ivanatora Sat, 4th May '02, 2:02am Yes. Other type of area spells (defensive harmony, chant, etc.) would affect them too. yappie! Sat, 4th May '02, 12:23pm But if you Hide, the spells could still get you. If you run, they could still get you from far away. So i suppose they both work!!:hahaerr: Volar Blackmane Sat, 4th May '02, 12:37pm As the topic was about getting caught in area effect spells, maybe it should be 'you can hide but you can't run'. You're already caught in it, so you can't run anymore. As you're invisible, it means you can hide. (Not that it helps, but...) |
