yo, I'm gonna be playing BG2, and i want to know whether Xan is a pc in it. He ruled.

Xan is not in it, not as a plyable NPC or a guest appearence, so to speak, sorry to disapoint you. There may be something you can download off Sorcerers to get him though

Nope, he only shows up in the tutorial, which is separate from the game itself this time. I decided to run through it just in case anything had changed drastically.

My mother wanted to play the game and she got stuckin the tutorial! I forgot Xan was in the tutorial... then again I last played it last october so it isn't surprising.

The Tutorial isn't that bad, you get a lot of extra XP. I played the Tutorial extensively with my Mage/Thief (lots of XP!), and after freeing Jaheira and Minsc in Jon's Dungeon, i was Level 9! :D
