heya i am gonna solo as a stalker then dual to a cleric. Does anyone have any suggestions for any profs for me? or any addition tips for stats and weapons/armor and spells. thanks.

Sorry but Stalker can't dual to cleric (or anything for that matter), its not allowed.

You can change that pretty easily by editing one of the game files though.

And why wouldn't stalker be allowed to dual to cleric?

Ridley in case you didn't know Stalker is a Ranger kit, so he could Dual Class to Cleric since Ranger/Cleric are allowed

Sounds like an... interesting idea. Keep in mind that you won't be heavily armored like most Clerics; you can wear only up to Hide Armor, IIRC. And no backstabbing for you either. But then again, Ranger/Clerics always have pretty decent spells to choose from.

I believe you can backstab with a club; I think that's the only weapon in common between clerics and thieves, and you can only backstab with thief weapons.

Ok don't believe me, go and try it yourself. (unless its due to some ToB related madness since my dualclas.2da dont allow it)

I've tried to dual an Archer with a cleric, and it doesn't work. I found a table in my overridefolder in the Dualclas-file, which is different to the table you have shown in your link. According to my table you can only dual a pure ranger or the beastmasterkit. Stalker and Archer are not allowed. I don't know why, cause it makes no sense to me. Maybe there are different versions, they may have change something in TOB or the patches...???

If that's impossible, I have a suggestion. Why don't you just use Shadowkeeper if it doesn't work. I thought you could dual the kits as well, but I guess i'm wrong...

I tried it (without Tob) and it worked.
I dualclassed it at level 9 and strangely, the backstabb modifier shown in the statistics was 3x!
But with Crom Fayer she did only about 50 dmg, so i think the 2x one is used. I find this combo very powerful (with the right equipment), especialy with 21 wis from bg1 (tomes of stat increase).

I don't see any sense of the Stalker/Cleric. I won't be able to backstab, because it can be done onl with one handed, and sword like weapons.
With club or hammer it's impossibile.

But it's easy to try, start a fighter/thief, and at the begining in the prison you can get every kind of weapons. You will see.

Thief can't backstab with every weapon either...

Why don't you go with a simple multi class Ranger/Cleric? It can use ANY druid and cleric spells. The dualled one will stuck at the level of ranger. If you dual at level 9 for example, it will be able to use only first level druid spells.

After dualling, the thaco won't improve for a long time. I would not choose this character. Somehow the stalker does not fit to a cleric...i think

1)He gains ALL druid spells... perhaps better than plain druid (in Soa)
2)He backstabbs with club (works, thief weapon). Crom Fayer is in offhand.
