I had a idea today, but it should be out before TOB came out. what if you could have alternate game-bg2? you could have varitation A and variaton B. A would be the same theme as BG2 (kalid dead, dineahyer dead, ect) but B would be different. Khalid would be alive, along with dynahier. some good charatcers may be evil, or vice versa (good doing Korgan anyone?) or even a turnip hating Jan! what do you think of this idea?
Maybe mrs and mr harold might HATE to see the circus and despise you for saving it!

Yes, but then you wouldn't play the game so short, it wouldn't become boring and you wouldn't spend your money on another games.
You can't fight against game industry no matter the perfect idea.
Personally, I would love that the game was made in fashion you made up.

I dare say that the majority of the people who bought bg2 never played through it a second time. A lot of people may not have finished it even the first time. So, even though laying down those hours on designing the game that way would be great for most people on this forum for example, I don't think that the ahem, less obsessed people would really care. bg2, like many other games, probably had a deadline, and to me, if I have to choose between one long adventure, and two alternatives, but both half as long, I'd opt for the first.

Hey, i'm just sayin' that they should create more add-ons rather than change the ultimate work of art that is Baldur's Gate II.
