3. I see lots of sub-plot material for one of my characters becoming a fledgling vampire on the way to full vampirism, yet this never happens. How do I trigger this? I only let Bodhi attack my characters that were immune to level draining, btw.

I'm going to play through a 2nd time. I've rolled up a female paladin, undead hunter kit, name of "Buffy", hehehehe.

I'm going to try to go do the asylum/undersea/underdark BEFORE most of the easier quests. I'll horde my cash to do this. Why do I want to do this?

A. I won't be wasting tons of exp. on yoshi

B. I'll get the cloak of reflection BEFORE crawling through a beholder maze, instead of after.

C. Imouen will get all that experience that yoshi would've sucked up.

My core party before yoshi's death will be:

Undead hunter
Alia
Aerie
yoshi

After:

same, but swap yoshi with imouen. Caster heavy party, mostly female. Playing a female lead this time so I can dump Jaheira early and not feel like a cad.

Caster heavy, the focus will be summoned creatures as cannon fodder, keeping the party small to maximize experience gains. I wish I'd written down all the experience gains for the quests, and whether they were lump sum for the party, or lump sum for each individual.

1. No idea, I really would like to learn that one as well :)
2. I suppose. Last one for me was at the endgame mini-plane. But i think it was a green one (might be wrong here).
3. If you are romantically involved with a character, Bhodi will kidnap him/her and turn him into a vamp. I lost Aerie that way, and DID NOT get her back- I finished it with 5 chars.
4. Its a quest item, for a mage in Umar Hills (his house is opposite to the inn and adjacent to the mayor's house).
5. Its used to bring back the vampire NPC.

DAMN, you are right about doing most of the subquests at chapter 6. Now, where did u get that cloak of reflection?

Btw, my first char (imported) was a super-duper cavalier with insane stats (many, many books of raise stats, from BG1). Now, I am going again with a F/M. I hope to get both class specific quests and strongholds....

The cloak of reflection is on a rebel priest in the Sahuagin city.
