View Full Version : Can You Silence a Bard? Lokken Mon, 10th Sep '01, 1:09pm If a bard uses bardsong in the game, will a succesful silence spell make the singing stop? Headbanger Mon, 10th Sep '01, 1:47pm Never tried that, I only had a bard in BG, never in BG2. In BG it was just a harp the bard used for his song, when he doesn't sing the spell won't work I suppose, for the Bard canstill play a harp. But in BG, for Garrick, a silence spell would be very necessary :) (Life, is glorious (oh shut up annoying Bard :))) Tiamat Mon, 10th Sep '01, 4:23pm I think you can still use the Bard's song, because (thinking practically), silence only blocks spells, and the bard's song isn't a spell. Lokken Mon, 10th Sep '01, 4:58pm well, you also think logically, silence = mute, and you can't really sing when you're mute. that's why I'm wondering Maertyn Mon, 10th Sep '01, 8:13pm Silence doesn't "only block spells"; silenced characters won't even say their little affirmative sentences when being clicked on!! Invoker Tue, 11th Sep '01, 12:49am silence rulez :) I made a hobby out of power word silencing those annoying talking newspapers (you know... "I'm actually quite shy!!" :) ) I would assume bards wouldn't be able to initiate bards song Nobleman Tue, 11th Sep '01, 12:53am I remember a multiplayer bard I had "madam Dustbin" And she couldn't play silenced, thats at least the memory I have. But my memory has failed me before. |
