OK - wandering beween slums and temple in chapter 6.......the gang got the "You have been waylaid by enemies" to be encoutered by a bunch of merchants who turned into replicants of my gang - but were pretty poor imitations.....they were after arresting my main man.....what's up here??

One bit of interesting info on that group.

My solo MC/RC encountered this gang shortly after his return from underdark. He was waylaid by SIX Modjahed's (my char's name) and all of them were MAGES, that started to shoot Melf's Acid Arrows and other funny spells. I thought that the battle was going to be easy, and didn't prepare for it well. I was toast in about three rounds. That really pissed me off, and after I reloaded, it was Creeping Doom and Whirlwind for them

I encountered them as well but without armour they don't hold out for very long against frontliners. A decent Barbarian can kick the crap outta them all solo with the right back up magic.
