Hello all. I imported my character from BG1, who killed Drizzt. I was reading a walkthrough, and it stated you meet him after the Underdark. It also stated he would not be pleased if you killed him in BG1 (was he ressurected by a spell?). Does this mean he will attack me when I meet him. If so, since he attacked me first, do I lose rep. points. Or is he just disgruntled and refuses to help cleanse Bodhi's Lair (2nd visit). Or, finally, does he just yell at me, and then forgive and forget. THANX!

1. If you state that you killed him (or will), then you fight, unless you pick the right dialogue options. You will not be able to "recruit" Drizzt & Co. for this.

2. If you just say something else (non-hostile), Drizzt just says hi, and you will be able to recruit him

3. If you happen to be an elf with the name of Drizzt, and also have a reputation of 9 (I believe) or lower, Drizzt challenges you to duel. Great for all those Drizzt-wannabes.

As far as I know, what you did in BG has nothing to do with it.

However, if you don't recruit him, you can fight Entreri in Bodhi's lair.

In fact, I don't find Drizzt very polite. I try to be nice to him all the time, but he seems quite arrogant to me...

Well IIRC Drizzt gets also angry when you have one of his weapons from BG,

Morgoth is right, the only way Drizzt can detect that was killed by you in BG1 is if you happen to keep his weapons in inventory (or equipped). Do you have those? Trash them till Bodhi's episode #2 is over with.

The thing with the name Drizzt mentioned above will also make him mad, but IIRC your reputation doesn't have anything with it and you'll have to fight him even if your rep is 734647856724. ;) Ok, perhaps I'm wrong with this, but can't check it right now.

[EDIT] Thanks, Zvijer. ;)

But I can:
he will attack you if you are an elf named "Drizzt" or "Drizzt Do'Urden", with reputation below 12.

However, if you don't recruit him, you can fight Entreri in Bodhi's lair.Is this true? I've never heard any mention of it before and the one time I played through Bodhi's lair without Drizzt, Entreri never showed up.

You're kiddin' right tarsakh?, cause I've never met him or have ever heard of him mentioned in this game.

However, if you don't recruit him, you can fight Entreri in Bodhi's lair. That is not correct, at least it doesn't work like that in unmodified game.

Whether you had killed Drizzt or not is detrmined at the start of new game (the game checks whether you have some Drizzt stuff in your imported character), then it's written to some variable, and so Drizzt knows whether he got killed or not. That's it.

I've always been confused by the idea of carrying Drizzt's items over into BG2 because when you finish the first game all your items are taken from you. So short of cheating, there's no way you can actually bring any of Drizzt's items through into BG2.
