Kill off Khalid, or in some cases an other annoying NPC. But especially Khalid in this case.

1. From the first trip to the Friendly Arm Inn, head off to Peldvale immediately and get Viconia. Then sacrifice Khalid to Shar for her favour by hacking him into chunks. (I think it's fair to edit Viconia's wisdom up by one for this method. To represent Shars favour by bonus spells ;))

2. Let ankhegs eat him. Always funny seeing him shout better part of valour and getting eaten by a big bug :D.

3. Have him scout and let the hobgoblins turn him onto a pincusion.

4. Turn him into a statue for your stronghold in BG2, by taking him on a trip to the basilisks :D. I can see him in the Keeps garden now......

Awww... poor cowardly Khalid... I actually kept him alive. He was always so jittery and afraid; he amused me :)

I sometimes had Khalid run into traps to trigger them, because he'd freak out! Once he even attacked me! This is so mean! I did reload, my Dwarf fighter WAS a good guy, 'er gal, that is! He really was spineless, I had to let Jahira go because she got so *****y when my reputation hit 19. (put down my leadership, will you)! When she said "come along, Khalid", he did seem to jump! (I can stand Jahira better in BG2).

But Khalid did have a solid amount of HP.

Not with me he didn't, making him even worse.
And his cowardly antics were annoying to me, not amusing.

Oh, I can see how he could annoy someone, but he cracked me up! My favorite is still "Better part of valor! Better part of valor!" as he ran for the hills! :D

Does he play a part in BG2? Cos i thought only Jahiera gets trapped...

Yea, he plays a part. That of a dead body.
You can find him on a table in the starting dungeon, heh.

What happened to the poor sod and why?

He didn't live through Irenicus' experiments.

When I got him really early in the game (BG1 of course) he had 44 hp. :D

Hmm...if i were to use him i would wait till i'm level 3 then go ask him...by then he's level 4...

I always enjoyed having Jahiera beat him to death with a staff and then say "Blast it Khalid, you've died! I swear you'll never hear the end of it!" As if she'd wanted the beatings to go on...

Hmm...well...ok...I always found Jahiera a right moan...always commenting on your leadership etc.

I don't think people consider enough before dumping an NPC. It's usually just because of the little bit of attidude they have. I turned jahiera to stone, but in retrospect, as annoying as she was, she could have been a good party member. But then I liked the party I ended with as it would be hard to use the type of higher level party I like in BG. Khalid is also very good; a coward, but a very good fighter.

A coward? No, not at all. For some "strange" reason he always seem to encounter those monster a teeny weeeny bit before the rest of my party :good: Must be because hes so eager to rid Faerun of evil beings...? :rolleyes:

Too bad he has alot o' them hp's... It does save his sorry ass...

ive played the game with khalid, hes no good and he dies a lot (if ur playing it hard) i kill him off too

Feed him to Boo.

Give him a good bang to the head, maybe he will turn brave...
