View Full Version : Loose end in Nalia´s Quests

Playing through the de´Arnise and the Isea-Roenal quests, I found some things really unsatisfying and open in the end.

(a) when you enter the room (where you find nalia´s father) for the final fight, you have a conversation with the troll-boss who sais, that someone more powerful than him ordered him to sieze the castle.
Well, who the f..k is this guy? Isea Roenal? Irenicus? You get no answer to this question ...

(b) when you finally find all the proof you need to free Nalia from Isea Roenal, Isea sais something like: "well see again - this isn´t finished" only to never show up again. Traditionally scum and scoundrels *have to* die in a final fight ... <grumble> ... well for the rest of my time in Atkathla I expected this sucker to show up to take revenge - like Ployer for example - but *nothing* happens

This is even more annoying since I kept stupid Nalia (such a silly thief) in my group for such a long time only to see nothing happen.

Is anyone else as disappointed about that or have I just missed the glorious showdown?

I remember reading somewhere that you can dispell the magig on the troll boss somehow, I think it involves getting him out of the chapel and knocking him out, then dispelling the magic on him, that said I don't know if it gives you any aswers.

Ragusa, I also spotted it, but I thought that in finishing the game twice I missed that.

Down with BI and it's bugs
Down with BG2!

I'm really more dissapointed with this game every day.

And it's good to see that someone elese besides me can also get

Another thing is Jan's quest - it leaves you really unfulfiled afterwards. But he asks you if you will help him if he ever needs your help, so I'm guessing that that quest will be finished in TOB, and I'm guessing that you will have another encounter with Isea-Roenal in TOB if you have Nalia in your party.

Hey Kasio!! Your opinions about BG2 has finally flourished. Or is it the other way around :p

I agree with Wildfire. ToB we can always put it on ToB :p

To be honest I expected Roenal to show up with a bigger army than he did in the De'Arniese (how is that spelled. I need my magic memory +2) Quest. I was expecting an army invasion. And what do we get? a few fighters and spellcasters.

And The troll. I read something somewhere. I'll be back with a link. A legal link this time :D

Sorry to be negative but I bet that we don't have the lose ends tied up in ToB. I reckon they will have already been forgotten. Still fingers crossed.

Also while were knocking BG2 is a good time to post a link to an old discussion I posted. Coincedently this post and that one coincided with doing the fishy bit and the underworld :(

I am back with my link. But My memory most certainly took me on a detour round the mulberry bushes. And for what. Nothing apparently. I found this in a walkthrough.

Through the northeastern door (x 2000 y 770) is the BOSS of this area,
TorGal. TorGal seems to indicate that he was hired by someone to kill
the Arnise family here. But who would do such a thing? Before you can
find out you have to fight. You have to fight TorGal and his Giant Troll
cronies.

I think it's Roenal. But I have no solid proof.

Remember how huge the game is. Maybe one of the many thousands of people whp you talked to had something to do with yet you missed what they said or you chose the wrong option.

Or it could just be the BG2 team thinking it funny to make sure that we rip off our own testicles in frustration.

BG2 is not PT - you don't miss options. Unless it's a bug, or NPC gets
