Well, I am still down in the hell hole with the God(s)forsaken drow. [Space Ghost fake french accent on] You know, someone ought to do something about them drow. [accent off]

One battle, I just got so sick of hearing EVERYONE whine "My weapon has no effect" that I just went slayer and killed everyone in my party.

Nalora
donut anyone?

I think your character should look for a few things
1/ the 9th level spell - " long term pschotherapy"
2/ The leather armour with wrap wround sleeves that buckles at the back
3/ Scroll of protection from "ya bad self"
and you should definitely play The rubber room chew the carpet stronghold.

Hmmm. There are two possibilities.

1. Your characters have horrid weapons. Try to get all melee specialists a +3 weapon each.
2. The mages are protected by spells like Protection from Magical Weapons. Try using spells like Breach with your spellcaster, or wait several rounds for the spells to wear off.

Don't use the slayer if you can avoid it.... It kills your rep and may kill YOU, too.

Have they cast Protection From Magic Weapons?
I always carry around a normal longsword and a mace, just in case that happens and I don't want to waste a Breach.
If you don't spot the spell being cast, and you're getting lots of "My weapon has no effect" messages, pause the game and scroll upwards through the dialogue box until you see a spell effect that matches the symptoms, or you reach the start of the battle.

I am curious as to how you got the Warblade +4. I thought that wasn't available until after the Underdark.

My apologies if this is incorrect.

I can't remember how I got the Warblade, but I think it was down in the dungeon where I did that whole King Strom III whatever was....as I recall, it was in my inventory after that. Now I am out and about, back in town, got rid of that stinking corpse, and the icky heart, and bought a couple nice items over at the favorite local hangout. Met Drizzt in the forest, the Harpers are harping on Jaheira, went back and wanted to beat the holy crap out of Aran and hid the vorpal blade. I have the bow of Gesen now as well.

Have two rosy colored weapons since Drizzt's pal mentioned the color. figured, it couldn't hurt.

Now that I know how to kill those eye thingies, I am considering going down to the Time Life Bridge and finishing that whole quest.....

Yeah, the "weapon has no effect! weapon has no effect!" cries are warning you that the mage you're fighting has cast protection from magical weapons. Dispel it, or else unequip your weapons and pound on the stupid mage with your fists. Fists aren't magic. (-:

Well, Breech does real well and miscast magic if you can get it off quick enough, Some keep putting up the defence, and you have to knock it down a few times, I found.

I went back and finally finished the Unseeing Eye Quest. Was wondering if holding off on going BACK into the crypts in the main quest will hurt me any? Is there a time limit on how long you can wait before you rejoin the main quest? I like being above ground for a bit after all that drow business.

You seem to be able to take all the time you want. I went off and did heaps of quests before I went to wail on Bodhi and everybody was there waiting for me.

Can Bodhi actually be killed down in her comfy lil hidey hole? I wailed on her with everything I had and only got her near death. Is this another one of those unkillable tanner bugs?

The unkillable tanner is not a bug, he is supposed to escape. You may even catch up with him later in your travels. And the first and second times you fight Bodhi she is supposed to get away also. You will get to finish her off once and for all soon enough...

Unless you're a monk in which case I think you still can't hit.

This is the reason why my monk keeps carrying a katana around.

Ok, here is how to get a nice little UNKILLABLE Tanner and have no access to the bridge district for a LOOOOOONG time. Haste your characters before you enter the tanner's house, surround him and WAIL TAR on him and DON'T let him get down stairs. Send a couple of your best hunky beef eatin' tanks downstairs to deal with the other people on the other levels, all the while wailing tar on the tanner. Now LEAVE the tanner....he will follow your butt to the exit of the dock district and be there waiting to kill you. You can wail on him til the cows come home and he will NEVER DIE.

I know I get to kill him later in another place, but NOT IF HIS DARN BOAT leaves without him!!! He becomes a berzerk maniac of the dock district.

btw I killed that bodhi-wench twice now just for good measure...sure sure lil Imoen you got yours NOW WHEN am I going to get mine? (as in soullllllltrain)

Nalora
goes slayer when mad, but returns to a previously saved game so I dont get toooooo evil.

Nothing like wailin' on the tanner I suppose ;).

Mini-spoiler>>>>

And yeah you can "kill" Bodhi those two times, I know I have killed her in Spellhold. You just deal enought damage to her before she can get away. You even get some experience, but when you really kill her the third time and stake her coffin that's when she ain't coming back and you get mad experience.

I took great pleasure in staking her black heart.

She has some nice goodies in her little slime hole as well.

Nalora
would love to have her silver dagger from BGI
