I've just completed Xzar's quest (Xzar's been killed by Harpers) and I'm wondering if Montaron is still alive. Is he somewhere in Galvarey's estate?

I guess you are supposed to think that Xzar is alive, but as a bird ;) captured by the Harpers. Well with TDD this must change because I know you can get Montaron in your party.

The bird was just a trick but in a letter at the Harpers House, you could read that Montaron was captured but should be released after some days.

You can also get Xzar in TDD too. I've been hearing good things about TDD.

You'll find Montaron's BODY after Xzar dies. Shame you can resurrect the poor halfling. :(

Xzar is dead. Monty is dead. I'm happy. And yes after Xzar is rightfully killed, Monty's body is in a chest I think inside Galvary Estate.

montaron is actually stuffed in a chest, rotting, inside the harper base, second floor to be exact, the room behind the ghost harpers (right side).

Hi,

Thats because they are not "true" harpers, Galvarey is a maverick power grabbing B**D who has led his little group astray. Read the dialogue. :D

Cheers,

Actually, they are true Harpers.

But somehow their own interests became more important instead of original Harpers "world balancing" philosophy.

Calling all Harpers murderers is not far away from the truth. But those "murders" are never made unjustified. To become a target for Harpers you really had to do something very bad. Anyway, in case of Hapers that accuse you and want to get rid of you because of your Bhaal lineage, they just wanted to be "rewarded" for dealing such evil as you. Selfish. That's all.

Now, are you such evil as they want you to look like? Were they right to try to "imprison" you?

Finally, if you call them murderers for accusing you just for being Child of Bhaal, why don't you call Keldorn a murderer for attacking Viccy just because she's a drow!

Keldorn is a murderer too! So kill him, and become a murderer!

Personally, i thought having xzar in my party in bgI was entertaining. I miss his sardonic company in soa. I was a little disappointed when the next best thing was edwin. Anyway, the harpers are the biggest bunch of losers in the game. Useless do-gooders, who don't really help anyone but themselves.
