Hey, if anyone can tell me instructions on how to get the ring of thex.. it would be greatly appreciated. I heard that you get it from a wish scroll in Carceri, but i can't find it. Please help me if you know how to get it.

Well, the Ring of Thex is in the strategy Guide also... except it doesnt tell you how to get it... so it exists... its just really hard to get i guess. =(

Strategy guides are being written a long time before the game actually ships, or is finished for that matter.
They could have taken it out at any point of development and it'd be too late if the guide was already printed.
Which they usually are at least a month or so before the game ships. Same with manuals... that's why you always get manual errata in readme's on the CD instead of them just delivering an error-free version of them.

There are other websites that say where it is, and to use the wish scroll to get it. if it really was taken out of the game, i wish i cood know for sure.

i read about it in the strategy guide, and i went on a lot of planescape: torment websites.. and most of them had info on it.. and stats... and to get it from the wish scroll at Carceri.

The Wish Scroll is inside the warehouse in Carceri, hidden in the pile of wood directly to the west of the door. You will need to run your cursor over the wood pile carefully to find it. (I don't have the coordinates handy, sorry.) If you're not a Mage (Level 12, methinks) you won't be able to use it.

Yeh the wish scrolls in the wood pile except its called ancient scroll. You can get an artifact thats -4 ac and some other stuff but i can't rmember if it is called ring of thex. A lot of stuff was left out/or changed in the final version. Perhaps this is the ring of thex or was a changed version of the ring of thex.

Yes, it is Ring of Thex you get from it.

Besides AC, it modifies HP (+20) and all saving throws (+2).

the scroll can only be used by a level 12 mage or above, beside the ring of thex available there are:
-full healing once
-lotsa cash
-permanent stat increase in one area
-three high level scrolls includng: bladestorm and power word kill
