Has anybody finished reading the Torment novel?

I managed to read the first chapter but it sort of sucked compared to the game.

Is it any good at all?

Well compared to Athans' BG novels it's a masterpiece.
But compared to anything else I wouldn't rate it higher than avarage. But since I only read it recently it did sparkle a few nice memories of the time I was still playing Torment, so buying it was not such a bad investment. Read the whole thing, it gets better somewhere in the middle.

It sucked compared to what you get from the game. You said it gets better in the middle? Is it really good or is it the same dumbed down mindless pop-Hollywood culture sort of writing?

The writing isn't THAT bad, but nothing spectacular either.
