I ask the pillar about who I am and Vhailor
realise I am the criminal he has been hunting for so long time. Is there any way to avoid killing Vhailor? Is there anything you can say to him?!

Remove Vhailor from your party before you go talk to the pillar... Leave him on the map before you enter that area. After you've talked to the pillar, take him in again.
That should do the trick.

Thanks! In that case I just don't understand why the hell they made that dialoge if you have to skip it anyway?! What is the point?!
Thats just like BG1. Lots of evil dialog choises but NONE OF THEM GAVE ANY XP!!!

yep, kinda sucks when you don't get rewarded for evil deeds. whats the point of playing an evil character then. one of the few flaws in the game that comes to mind, but it still is a great game.

It might be possible for you talk your way out of him attacking you. A lot of dialogue in Torment depends in your charisma as well, so you might be too low in that department to be able to effect Vhailor.

Thanks. I just said to Vhailor that he should guard the gate to the pillar while I talked to it.
Ah now I finally finished the game again.
And god it was worth it.
All those little details. The dialoge, the NPC's personality (especially Morte) and that music!
And the PLOT...fantastic!!!
That was most definitely the best game of all time!
