View Full Version : Selling that annoying Annah into slavery
Igneous Sat, 5th May '01, 12:35pm I'm playing through this game the second time as an Evil mage, and I have a question about the grimoire of pestilence thought.
I'm about to make my second sacrifice to the book, and I was thinking in selling Annah to Vrischika. Only it will not work. Dak'kon and Morte will go, but Annah starts a fight. Is there any way to overcome this, for example selling her to another slaver (if there is any) Annah is just useless and annoying and I want to get rid of her this way.
P.S. Is there anyting else to do with the grimoire after you got the third spell (power word kill) It won't speak to me after I killed (and resurrected :D ) for my third sacrifice. It gets a nice 4000 gold, but I hope there is something else you can do with it.
Extremist Sat, 5th May '01, 1:50pm Annah annoying? Then who will disarm traps in Curst (to get axe from smith's wardrobe without getting him hostile) and Carceri (to find interesting stuff in rooms before Trias) and unlock many doors and containers? Bash won't work everywhere!
And if someone's annoying in this game that's Vhailor. But you can't sell him or Ignus into slavery. What a crap.
Anyway, you can't sell Annah to slavery. She turns hostile every time you try that no matter what. And you must sell slave to Vrischika not another slaver.
Another thing, Evil Book has no use after you do all three things, so sell it.

Bateluer Sat, 5th May '01, 5:14pm I tried playing the game as an evil character, Just couldn't go it. Must be sappy.
Igneous Sat, 5th May '01, 5:40pm I think it's a lot harder to play it the evil way, because you miss out on experience of you compare it to the goody-two-shoe way.
If you want to play truly evil, you can't even do a lot of quests, because a lot of them involve running errands and helping people. You can all screw those up for personal fun, bu that doesnt yield a lot of experience. What are your thoughts on this?
Volar Blackmane Sat, 5th May '01, 11:33pm True, but it's fun :D
Avooch Dar Sun, 6th May '01, 6:00pm i think playing as an evil character is great. I know all too well how difficult it is to stay truly evil but the game is meant to be challenging!
There are also a great number of advantages in being evil. If someone begins to piss you off you just smash their head in (don't do this to everyone or you won't be able to progress through the game) and you dont have to constantly worry about being nice to people. It gives you a lot of freedom.
and you can do a lot of errends without changing your alignment too much if you ask for a reward and put in the odd rude comment.
Volar Blackmane Mon, 7th May '01, 10:59pm In hindsight, perhaps striking Trias down just for fun before he told his information wasn't too wise :p
Cerryl Tue, 8th May '01, 11:29am I did something like that too, although it wasn't Trias I struck down. I killed Ravel before she tole me what I needed to know. I clicked on the wrong dialogue option and she started attacking me to early.
Extremist Tue, 8th May '01, 3:59pm Killing people does not determine your alignment in the game.
Your deeds just show how powerful you think you are and there's noone important enough nor anyone deserves a second chance to let him live. That's Vhailor's main motto "NO MERCY". And that's why I never took that bastard to Regrets Fortress with me (although I know what happens to him there).
Volar Blackmane Tue, 8th May '01, 10:05pm Vhailor is my favourite npc in Torment :) He's just so cool, like in that demo before you fight him.
Avooch Dar Wed, 9th May '01, 8:57pm i like Ignus best.....he is such a brill mage and he floats beutifully
