Some tatoos (I'm thinking of Tattoo of the Source and Tatoo of the Cutpurse, but I think there are more) are supposed to have powers you can invoke, but there's no "use item" button for them, and putting them in quick items and using them from there does nothing. How do I get them to work?

They should work. Like Tattoo of Lost Incarnation.

1. Did you install the patch?
2. You need to be in thief class to use Tattoo of Cutpurse
3. Can't remember what faction you need to be to use Tattoo of Source - check it on info

Thank you Extremist, I guess that I'll have to do the patch (very annoying as PST is on a different computer and the patch is too big for a floppy). Does the patch also deal with wierd buggy things I encountered, where my pickpocket ability went to 15 and got stuck after maxing out, Improved strength made my guys weaker and eating loads of dirty rat charms put my Charima to 25(presumably went off the scale and went over to the other end)?

In order to "use" the tattoo to get the exp you put it in the quick slot. You can only do it once and when you do the Nameless One should glow blue for a few seconds. Once this is done there is no more exp to get and the only way to "use" it after that is to wear it.

Sorry Ironbeard - I don't remember what exact things patch fixes. :(

If you don't have any util to split the file on few volumes, I suggest you use freeware Split File Extension downloadable from: http://space.dolphin.free.fr/Windows/split.html

Hokay, I patched up to 1.1 using an old coverdisc, but I don't know if that's the most recent patch or not. I can't use cutppurse, but I can use source.

I've now used the patch from the site. Same patch, can use source the way Cerryl said, can't use Cutpurse, any suggestions?

You've probably already used it then. Or, this might be a dumb question, but you never know here, are you a thief? Only a thief can use that tattoo...

One, I am a thief. If that was the reason the tattoo would be red.
Two, it distinctly says in the descripiton that it is useable once per day, and after resting, I noted my money and experience, then tried using it - no change.

Ok, I tried that tattoo today and it works in my game.

I tried it with two possible ways to activate it from quick item slot and it worked! So, after you put it in quick item slot try one of these:

1. use quickkey for that slot (you must define it in options screen)
2. press right-mouse, select items from pop-up menu, select the tattoo and then press <Enter>


Spot that when it is invoked, you don't see any change on Nameless One (or Annah) - but check records page or inventory.


Ahh, one thing crosses my mind, sorry I forgot to check it:
If it still doesnt't work, why don't you try to sleep for a WHOLE day in case you actually used it and it won't work until next day?
