Okay - I killed the evil wizard and then hired Nordom. Does this mean that I can't ever change Nordom's stats as I understand you have to speak to the wizard with Nordom present

Truly I never kicked Evil Wizard without Nordom in the party...

I trully believe that the point is that you MUST talk with Evil Wiz Construct about everything before you kill him in order to unlock Nordom's abilities, no matter party members.

Yes.. I did.
Nordom was found after the wiz, and I was still able to talk and get his stats.
