I'm almost through with planescape and I was wondering if anyone knew other rpgs that had a similar playing style as planescape.

I like how you don't *have* to fight in planescape. There's plenty of that to do, but there are substantial rewards just for puzzle solving and solving your mystery.

Other than the isometric view (which means I have to navigate my party around the screen and watch them get stuck in narrow spaces or doorways), I've found the game to be just about perfect for my role playing style.

There is no such game.

Similar "RPG of RPGs" feeling you can get only from Arcanum and Fallout 2.

I was afraid of that. I've played fallout and enjoyed it too. I'll look into getting Arcanum. The post apocalyptic/bleak look is getting a bit old though. Perhaps Arcanum is a bit more lush?

I like games like BG I and II ok, and I've slashed away in the Might and Magic series, but Planescape takes the award in my book.

Oh...thanks for correcting my original title. I'd forgotten to note that I was talking about computer based rpgs. Ooops!

Maybe one day I'll get off my backside and stop complaining about what I want to see in a crpg and just make one myself. Anyone know how the coldstone game engine is progressing?...got it ported to pc yet?

There's nothing 'lush' about the look of Arcanum, it's very low toned. But it's one hell of an RPG.
