A blog primarily for SP Happenings, with occasional guest appearances by other distractions. SPH is an ongoing journal, posted on a semi-frequent schedule. As the title suggests, its primary function is to detail what has been going on around Sorcerer's Place since the last journal entry, though sometimes other themes are discussed as well. Comments welcome!

So, what's the plan?
A fair question, certainly. You've probably noticed that we've dropped the ball on the news front in the last few months. Sadly, even most of the news editors who haven't disappeared completely haven't posted much news. Combined with the fact that there hasn't been any real interest in volunteer news posting for many years now means that I could either pay someone to do it (only theoretically possible as we don't make nearly enough to be able to finance such an effort) or do it myself.
The way things are I will almost certainly be picking up some of the slack here to get us back on track with the news, as it simply needs to be done. The only problem that this represents is the fact that the more time I spend on diversions such as the news, which could be done by someone else, the less time I have to work on other aspects of the site, which others can't do. You can see my dilemma there...
I haven't got involved with the news in the past four months because I had a number of real life matters to attend to (such as finally wrapping up my academic obligations for a few years). I'll hopefully sort out most of the more pressing cries for my attention that have piled up during my semi-voluntary absence in the next few weeks and get us back on track in the news department, as well as in content updates. Yes, much of that has piled up as well...
In a nutshell, change for the better is on the horizon. Also, I'm always on the lookout for suggestions, so don't be shy and post a few. We could use some more community involvement!

Hey Tal, I can't promise anything but I enjoyed writing that review so I might do some more. Probably won't be new games (money is tight when your a student lol), but not old either
I can't really help with news I don't think, but if you have something for me to try then throw it my way and I'll do what I can!
Again no promises, being at uni I have other commitments, but I'm sure I can find a bit of time to help out.Posted Wed, 28th Oct '09 at 1:09am by Dave the Magic Turtle
