So, one of the purposes of this blog is to keep track of progress on various fronts.

Job Hunt (Teacher):
Going very well. I've finished an unknown number of applications and have had 7 interviews in the past 6 weeks. For most of these jobs, the process involves an initial interview followed by another interview. As of today, I have my first interview that has led to something else. 6 Month anniversary of the breaking of the chains.

I thought I should write something to commemorate it to myself. Exactly one half a year has passed since my life has changed. At this time half a year ago there was snow on the ground and we were waiting inside a public building. Followed by spending the night at my brothers house in the country and then heading out to the bush for a week.

I don't think my sons had ever actually seen grandmas house in the winter, but...

Raw emotion.
Waters path follows my cheekbones . Clean like the hidden spring.
I'm a coward to not confront my feelings. This moth that bangs itself to unconsciousness against a lightbulb in the night.
I'll stretch the canvas until it tears at its weak point. There is more meaning with its rips mended and visable with a clumsy thread. I don't care if society likes perfection and matching frames.

Who I am

So, I've registered as Vorona on this forum. Here is some information about me.

1. Careerwise, I really screwed up. I tried to be a professor, but instead of getting a Ph. D. in French, I got a Masters, and then worked on a Masters in Russian. But I didn't pass the Comprehensive Examination, so no Masters in Russian. Then, I burned out of grad school, took a year off (when I was trying to get a job, but failed), and finally got a job working with developmentally disabled adults....
