Eighth Dimension: #85 A Month Onwards

Posted Wed, 1st Dec '10 at 10:33pm by 8people (8 Tales)

First of all I felt good making a cake for grandad, and I think I've been a bit more at peace since I made that offering to him, but I still miss him terribly, I don't know what I'm expecting to be honest, but I don't feel like I have any real closure. In part I wonder if it's because he was cremated, something that within my very bones screams out at being wrong,...

Eighth Dimension: #84 Senescence

Posted Tue, 30th Nov '10 at 10:32pm by 8people (8 Tales)

Senecscence is biological aging.

It is theorised to be a factor in evolution as there is a clear correlation between birth rate and numbers alongside lifespan.

Take Elephants, they have a gestation period of 22 months, the longest of any living mammal, though the births are usually single. Yes, I spelt most things wrong in the picture. I was sleep deprived

The map is an approximation...

A Little Fantasy: #4 Shaping the Planes

Posted Sun, 28th Nov '10 at 10:28pm by 8people (8 Tales)

In the World of Darkness it talks about the spirit realms, the shadow lands, the umbra, hell, heaven... But rarely anything unified.

So I decided to try and figure out what a unified 'planescape' of the WoD would look like and I ended up with seven different realms and the mortal/earth realm. The cosmology I designed also works for all the backgrounds, surprisingly enough, including the middle kingdom and african cosmology.

I also aligned each of the eight realms into...

Cane and Able: #11 Adoption

Posted Sat, 27th Nov '10 at 10:27pm by 8people (8 Tales)

A lot of people cite that adoption is a viable means for the disabled to approach as a means of parenthood and is in fact preferable to genetic offspring. I understand when conditions are harmful and genetic it is one matter, but this is a reccomendation I have seen across the board, including towards people who are disabled from accidents or non hereditary illnesses.

Becoming a parent when you are older now is no longer considered as great a concern as it once was, despite the fact...
