I stepped outside at 4am.

The silence is profound when most of the city is asleep.

There was a bedroom light on in one of the neighbouring houses. They have a baby who's stomach doesn't care what time it is. The temperature was lukewarm and there was no wind. My eyes were drawn to an overgrown icicle hanging off a high rooftop. Street lamps bordering the nearby field made the ice glimmer.

The moon stole everything. Two days away from showing its entire...

O.K. That got your attention.

I had a very interesting evening that resulted in me coming up with a marketing strategy for myself. Only you guys are privileged to know about it before I do it. (I hope you know I'm saying this tongue in cheek.) Also it's an experiment so I have nothing more vested in this if it does not work, however if it does work it could be mildly to very beneficial for me.

I am on FB a lot and I get really sick of the endless memes of the same sort...

Two Fifty-four PM

Somebody noted to me recently that I haven't been doing a lot of writing lately or art. So I have a few minutes to write in the afternoon on a weekday.

I was probably just taking a creative break - or maybe I'm too involved with the alternative world of Skyrim where most problems can be solved with a bow and arrow and a lot of sneaking and a few health potions. This world on the other hand doesn't have such easy ways out so you can see why I prefer the other one.

One year anniversary of the breaking of the chains.

One year, today. Boxing Day.

I haven't written in this blog for a while but I felt I should since it helped me comb through my psyche in a significant time of my life.

I'm sick today. Actually its about day 3 or 4 of a throat so sore that I haven't been eating or drinking. Doesn't really matter though because it's subsiding and I've managed to get enough food and liquid inside to think clearly. My oldest kid tells me that I always get sick at Christmas. Funny how...

Where I can express myself

Why are words such a powerful medium? But they have to be controlled and rearranged to suit the needs of the individual. These are thoughts I have when I am in my happy place.

I'm in my happy place right now. I'm calm and avoid thoughts that are sharp places that I don't want to feel. It's better that way. Like a thin envelope around me that keeps me warm. Maybe I'm in a cocoon. I've always wondered what it is like to fly. Maybe I'm a butterfly.

But not a monarch...
